Our Beginnings

Gravitec was established in 1996 for the purpose of researching and developing a new form of propulsion based on asymmetrical capacitor propulsion. These capacitors while commonly believed to produce thrust solely as the result of an ion or corona wind effect have been found to have an intertwined secondary phenomenon, which when isolated produces thrust at efficiencies far exceeding those of all other forms of space propulsion systems.

Gravitec Research

Gravitec’s research unlike other efforts has focused almost exclusively on harnessing the secondary non ion wind effect. This is the only component of the asymmetrical capacitor phenomenon that offered a significant improvement over existing propulsion technology. It has not been easy harnessing this phenomenon since it operates outside of contemporary propulsion physics models.

How?

The standard model for propulsion physics limits all systems like rockets to needing a reaction fluid, which usually doubles as the source of energy to achieve a change in momentum. In contrast to this method our devices operate by converting an input of electrical energy into an almost equivalent amount of change in the kinetic energy of the object being propelled. This process does not require a reaction mass so the reaction must be a product of another mechanism, such as our postulated existance of an unknown reaction medium.

Skepticism

The rule of thumb through history is that things need to be proven to the point of obviousness before the general scientific community accepts a new phenomenon. We feel we’re closely approaching that point and we hope to present our case soon to the general scientific community.
